This independence from external funding constraints has led to constant improvements, better commercial offerings, and the continued support of a vibrant community.
It’s hard to believe, but Umbraco recently turned 20 years old! This milestone is a testament to its reliability, security, and long-term viability. Each year, it continues to receive industry awards and recognition, further solidifying its position as a leading CMS.
The Commercial Ecosystem: A Double-Edged Sword?
One of the major shifts in Umbraco’s ecosystem has been the integration of popular community-built packages into the core CMS or as official commercial add-ons. While this move enhances the platform’s capabilities, pricing has become a concern for agencies in peripheral markets like Portugal.
